JEROME JACKSON
Every decade or two the
entertainment industry surprisingly discover the abilities and vocal
superiority of a musical genius. That musical genius has materialized in
the form of Jerome Jackson. Mr. Jackson always had the showmanship,
dedication and range to become a leading vocalist but his talents were
always shadowed or ignored. His early experiences began with
gospel music at age 12, performing with James Cleveland and Shirley
Caesar, gaining confidence and showmanship.
Jerome officially began his
professional career in 1971 with the group Richmond Extension in
Richmond, Virginia under the direction of Disco artist Van McCoy who
recorded the legendary hit "The Hustle". Jerome went on to release a
single entitled "Everything's Coming Up Love". He continued to
perform in and around the Virginia area with the Richmond Extension
until 1976 at which time he moved on and joined a new R&B group called
"The Jones". Soon thereafter they changed their name to the "Nobles" and
recorded an album with CBS Records and released a single "I Never
Believed In Love Until I Fell In Love With You". His career now
had some stability and fulfillment whereas he could see big credible
opportunities.
In 1986, the big opportunity came when he joined the top
R&B group Main Ingredient which consisted of Cuba Gooding Sr. and
Tony
Sylvester, in 1990 another huge break came when he join the infamous
Drifters.
Jerome went on to acclaimed performances on
Soul Train, The
Apollo Theatre and both Inaugural Ball's for President Bill Clinton.
Jerome Jackson's acting abilities afforded him the opportunity to
perform in the Broadway production of Porgy & Bess as the main character.
Sporting Life that showcased his raw acting and singing talents. Now,
his highly anticipated new release in which you will be overwhelmed with
his fresh sound and distinctive delivery. A soulful blend of R&B, Jazz
vocals and Chitlin' Circuit Blues.

GIOVANNI
Giovanni is more than just a rapper. He is a father,
poet, coach, scholar, motivational speaker, as well as, an MC. When his
words are set to music all of his various shades and sides come through to
the listener live and in living color. His ability to match metaphors and
similes has drawn comparisons to Tupac Shakur, as well as, Nikki Giovanni
(from whom he took his stage name).
The heralded
wordsmith has spent the past two decades building life into words; words
into verses; and bringing verses to life. Yet simple words cannot define
Giovanni's life, nor his verses. He is not bound by constraints of categories
such as pop, gangsta, bling-bling, crossover, or regional location. This Son
of the South embraces his Southern heritage without being defined by it. His
style comes in a variety of forms, on various topics, set to an array of
beats, rhythms, and tempos. He epitomizes diversity.
William Jeffrey Flanigan (aka Giovanni) facility to
breakdown barriers between young and old, black and white, male and female
can only be described as a gift from God. He has taken his gift and added an
enormous work ethic and multiplied the sum by pure hunger to create nothing
short of a musical genius. Its just too bad words cant define him.
Musically, I am influenced by a variety of legends in the music business.
Some of them include Tupac Shakur, Jay-Z, Nas and Notorious BIG but I think
that one of my greatest influencers in my musical career had to be LL Cool J
and Grand Master Flash. The pioneers of that generation made it possible for
me to be where I am today.
Personally, I am influenced by my Mother and Grand
Mother, friends and family who encourage me to reach for the galaxy. I am
led by God and his omnipresence. My personal relationships, struggles, set
backs, disappointments and world events influence my development as an
artist. There is a lot of responsibility as an artist because the minute
that you are given a sounding board you are now given the opportunity to be
heard.

Each sentence of this chilling autobiographical account makes readers turn
the pages eager for the next unfolding in this remarkable man’s life. Robert
Howard recounts the violent, bestial life of prison that he faced at the
young age of 15 in 1963. Rising to the demands of prison life, Howard became
one of the strongest leaders Angola has ever seen. First, he led in crime
and corruption and then as Divine light flooded his heart and mind, he led
in non-violence and kindness. “A drama that reflects the heart of all men,”
says P.J. Owens, literary editor for the South-by-South Review.
